A passion for patient welfare, combined with his breadth of dental experience, led Mogell to complete extensive training in the field of dental sleep medicine to ensure the effective and appropriate treatment of patients suffering from obstructive sleep apnea. In the last decade, Mogell has gained recognition among physicians, dentists, and patients for his ability to effectively treat and manage patients with mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea using oral appliance therapy. In 2013, Mogell became the first Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine in Palm Beach County and one of only three (as of 2016) in the state of Florida. Mogell is a past president of the University of Florida College of Dentistry Alumni Association. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, National Sleep Foundation, Florida Dental Association, and the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics. He is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pain Management. He is a member of Sleep Review‘s editorial advisory board.
