SOMNOmedics SOMNOscreen HD, which launched in the United States in 2016, was designed with the ability to accept up to 6 wireless sensors. The first of those wireless sensors has now been released: a wireless PLM sensor.
The SOMNOmedics wireless PLM sensors have up to a 10-hour battery life and continuous recording of electrode impedance, which “makes them very easy to integrate into a sleep lab or HST setting,” says Julia Sarmiento-Bovill, SOMNOmedics sales director in the USA.

“The outstanding signal quality, time saved during application, and more freedom of movement for the patients as well as the reduction of consumables and running costs (cables and connectors) are the main factors why doctors in Europe have made the move to this outstanding development in sensor technology,” Sarmiento-Bovill says.
