Daniel Brown, managing shareholder of The Health Law Partners’ Atlanta office and editorial advisory board member of Sleep Review, has been named treasurer and member of the Executive Committee for the Board of Directors of the National Sleep Foundation (NSF). He assumed the four-year term beginning July 1, 2013.

Brown has served on the NSF Board of Directors for the past five years. In this role, he will share the responsibility for the strategic direction of the nonprofit and its finances.

He has nearly 30 years of experience representing health care providers in the corporate and regulatory issues key to building successful health care businesses. A leading legal expert in medical sleep health care, Brown is a frequent speaker and published author. He represents providers of sleep medicine testing and durable medical equipment therapy, owner-operators of sleep centers and laboratories, and independent diagnostic testing centers.

A faculty member at the Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine, Brown is also on the National Advisory Board of the Sleep Center Management Institute. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, and graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law with his juris doctorate.

Based in Washington, DC, the NSF is dedicated to improving health and wellness through sleep education and advocacy.
