A Left Out report explores the story of Danielle Hulshizer, a woman diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnia, which is a condition that causes excessive sleepiness during the day.

Hulshizer suffers from idiopathic hypersomnia-a sleep disorder where the sensation of fatigue was never going, even after sleeping all night and take long naps during the day. It has interfered with their education, career, relationships-all his life.

“If I had a nickel for every time someone said ‘Oh, you should go home and rest, you look tired,’ I swear I would multimillion now,” says Hulshizer.

Sleep is not restorative for Hulshizer: “Do not wake up full of energy and ready to go,” he says, “you wake up feeling tired just 12 hours before when you went to bed to sleep.”
