A good night’s sleep is important for leaders to lead, writes a Forbes contributor.

Think of it this way: Just as driving while tired is likened to driving while drunk, showing up to work exhausted is like showing up to work intoxicated, which can impede your ability to develop the strategic work that you, as a leader of your company, have to complete.

I say this to raise an awareness of what a lack of sleep can have on leaders. With this awareness, you now have a choice as to what you can do to resolve poor sleep patterns.
