A Forbes news report discusses the growth of the sleep industry, including sleep labs and sleep aids, and the factors fueling the growth.

According to a new report from industry researchers at IBISWorld, sleep labs—where people go to have sleep disorders diagnosed—have enjoyed 4% growth every year for the last five years and are expected to continue at that rate for the next five. In 2010 there were 2,280 sleep labs in the U.S. generating around $5.9 billion. This year, 2,800 labs are set to haul in an estimated $7.1. billion. By 2020 the industry will be within eyeshot of the $10 billion mark.
