Smiths Medical, Waukesha, Wis, introduces the BCI® SPECTRO2™ pulse oximetry portfolio. Designed for a variety of patient care settings, the portfolio features three models: the SPECTRO2 l 10, SPECTRO2 l 20, and SPECTRO2 l 30 pulse oximeters.

The SPECTRO2 pulse oximetry portfolio is built on proprietary BCI technology and delivers readings across a full range of patient care settings—even during motion or low perfusion conditions.

The SPECTRO2 l 10 pulse oximeter delivers results in primary care environments at an affordable cost. The SPECTRO2 l 20 pulse oximeter features patented BCI serial autocorrelation technology, which allows it to deliver spot-check results in challenging clinical settings, including those with the presence of low perfusion or motion. The SPECTRO2 l 30 pulse oximeter has all the benefits of the other two models, plus multiple operating modes with audible and visual alarms, and the availability of a nurse call system that alerts health care providers for potential clinical intervention to ensure patient safety.

Features of the SPECTRO2 pulse oximetry portfolio include:
• On-board cradle to store and protect the sensor;
• BCI spot-check finger sensor;
• Pulse Amplitude Index (PI) bar-graph indicator;
• Memory storage for up to 99 patients;
• LED display; and
• Three-year warranty.
