The low-sodium oxybate oral solution generated $1.7 billion in revenue, contributing to the company’s $3.1 billion neuroscience portfolio performance in 2025.

Key takeaways:

  • Total revenues reached a record $4.3 billion in 2025, a 5% increase year-over-year.
  • Xywav revenue grew 12% to $1.7 billion, solidifying its position in the sleep franchise.
  • Total neuroscience revenue increased 6% to $3.1 billion.
  • Jazz expects 2026 total revenues to range between $4.25 and $4.50 billion.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc announced financial results for the full year and fourth quarter of 2025, reporting record total revenues of $4.3 billion. This represents a 5% increase compared to 2024, driven largely by the company’s neuroscience portfolio and the continued growth of Xywav.

For the full year 2025, Xywav (calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium oxybates) oral solution achieved $1.7 billion in net product sales, marking a 12% increase year-over-year. In the fourth quarter alone, Xywav generated $465.5 million in sales compared to $401 million in the same period the prior year.

“In the fourth quarter, our disciplined execution resulted in $1.2 billion in revenue, reflecting 10% year-over-year growth and our highest revenue quarter ever,” says Renee Gala, president and CEO of Jazz Pharmaceuticals, in a release. “This performance provides us with strong momentum into 2026, as we… reinforce the differentiated profiles of Epidiolex and Xywav as the leading branded treatments for epilepsy and narcolepsy, respectively.”

The company’s total neuroscience revenue, which includes the rare sleep franchise consisting of Xywav, Xyrem, and high-sodium oxybate authorized generic royalties, reached $3.1 billion in 2025. This represents an increase of 6% compared to $2.9 billion in 2024.

According to the financial results, the increase in neuroscience revenue was primarily due to higher net product sales of Xywav and Epidiolex. These gains were partially offset by a decrease in Xyrem net product sales, which fell to $146 million in 2025 from $233.8 million in 2024.

Jazz also provided financial guidance for the full year of 2026. The company expects total revenues to range between $4.25 billion and $4.50 billion.

“2025 was an exceptional year for Jazz, representing our 21st consecutive year of top-line growth and underscoring our commitment to operational excellence as we deliver meaningful innovation for patients,” says Gala in a release. “In parallel, we continue to advance our pipeline and pursue a corporate development strategy aligned with our rare disease focus that supports durable growth and long-term value creation for patients and shareholders.”
