The strategic alliance connects Lofta patients with virtual obesity care, including GLP-1 therapies and nutrition coaching, to address a key driver of disease severity.

Key takeaways:

  • Lofta and Accomplish Health formed an alliance to provide medical weight loss services to patients with sleep apnea.
  • Eligible patients will access virtual clinician visits, FDA-approved medications, and remote monitoring tools.
  • Accomplish Health reports an average total body weight loss of 21% after 12 months for its patients.

Lofta, a provider of direct-to-consumer sleep apnea care, has entered into a strategic alliance with virtual obesity and metabolic health platform Accomplish Health to expand access to medical weight loss services for patients living with sleep apnea.

Through this alliance, Lofta aims to enhance its sleep care model by connecting patients to Accomplish Health’s evidence-based obesity care. This approach is intended to address a key underlying driver of sleep apnea and support whole-person health outcomes.

“Sleep apnea and obesity are deeply interconnected, yet they are too often treated in isolation,” says Boyd Goodson, general manager at Lofta, in a release.

Eligible Lofta patients will have access to a range of services through Accomplish Health, including:

  • Regular virtual visits with obesity-trained physicians and advanced practice clinicians.
  • FDA-approved anti-obesity medications, including GLP-1 therapies when clinically appropriate.
  • Nutrition coaching from registered dietitians.
  • Remote monitoring tools, such as connected in-home scales, to track progress in real time.

Accomplish Health reports that its patients achieve an average total body weight loss of 13% after six months and 21% after 12 months.

“We’re excited to work together with Lofta to extend high-quality obesity care to a population where it can make a meaningful difference,” says Andrew Olanow, CEO of Accomplish Health, in a release. “By combining Lofta’s leadership in sleep apnea care with Accomplish’s specialized obesity expertise, we’re helping patients address root causes, improve outcomes, and build healthier lives.”

The collaboration is scheduled to go live in December, allowing eligible patients to access these virtual weight management services as part of their ongoing care.
