Circadiance, Murrysville, Pa, introduces the all-cloth, SleepWeaver ADVANCE mask. The mask plays off the design of the original SleepWeaver cloth CPAP mask while offering increased comfort, a better fit, smaller mask dimensions, and all new headgear. The SleepWeaver ADVANCE inflates like a balloon to conform to the patient’s face to create the seal. The mask has no plastic or silicone parts that touch the face, and air leakage is reduced due to the flexibility of the cloth matching the shape of each individual patient’s face.
The Mojo full face mask from SleepNet Corp, Hampton, NH, features a bendable wire embedded in a flexible shell, allowing both therapist and patient to shape the mask for a custom and compliant fit. The gel cushion yields to gentle pressure, providing a soft seal that aids in patient compliance. Air leaks at the bridge of the nose are removed by adjusting the tension wheel, redirecting the headgear strap tension. CPAP/bilevel device tubing attaches to a 360º swivel elbow, and supplemental oxygen can be added at the elbow base. The Mojo is available in three sizes. Both mask and headgear are latex and adhesive free.
Philips Respironics, Murrysville, Pa, offers the FitLife total face mask, a solution for patients who face issues that can greatly impact the ability to establish effective therapy and comfort, such as nasal bridge breakdown, facial irregularities, facial hair, dentures, and claustrophobia. It establishes a seal around the less pressure-sensitive perimeter of the face, while maintaining an unrestricted view. Snap clips and advanced headgear make application and removal straightforward. The large size of this mask fits most patients.

Plus, the Breeze SleepGear system has the option of using nasal pillows or the DreamSeal™ mask (available in various sizes).

Multiple wearing options are available to match the patient’s sleeping position while also allowing the patient to wear glasses. Other features on the mask include no forehead or overhead contact; limited points of contact on face; and no air leaks near the eyes. Interchangeable nasal pillow inserts can be mixed, matched, and cut to fit each nostril independently. The Bravo nasal pillows are designed to insert into the nostrils at an angle. One package contains all of the components required to size the patient.
The V2 full face CPAP/bilevel mask from Hans Rudolph, Shawnee, Kan, has a design featuring a soft silicone face piece for comfort while still maintaining a leak-free seal. Without a forehead support, the material and seal of this mask work to minimize pressure points on the face. Two structural braces have been added for support at high pressures. The swivel port houses the Anti-Asphyxia Valve, Micro-Hole CO2 ventilation, free movement, and a detachable port. The V2 headgear has five points of adjustment. The adjustment point on the crown of the head allows the user to control vertical placement of the mask.
Invacare Corp, Elyria, Ohio, offers the Twilight™ II nasal mask. This lightweight mask features a new design that gives users a greater level of comfort to enhance compliance. Breathable headgear with soft hook and loop fasteners conforms to the shape of the head for maximum adjustability and comfort. Improved six-position forehead support allows for a customized fit. Quick release clips make it easy for the user to place and remove the mask without changing headgear settings.
