American Sleep Medicine (ASM), an independent sleep disorder treatment company, is tracking to achieve a sixth straight year of more than 30,000 tests with patients across the country.

“We are very proud of what we have accomplished over the past six years, and since the inception of ASM in 2002,” says Jim Evanger, ASM president, in a release. “What we do continues to be a crucial service because of what the medical community is learning about the effects of sleep on general health. Conditions such as stroke, heart disease, hypertension, and obesity are all exacerbated by lack of sleep, and at ASM we can help.”

With 20 facilities across the United States, ASM is capable of treating patients quickly because of its business model that includes many beds per facility. Referring physicians can refer a patient to their local ASM, have the patient seen by a board certified sleep physician and tested within 24 hours, receive a diagnosis of the patient’s disorder, and have them treated all in the same location.
