The National Sleep Foundation (NSF) has named Nanit and Onera Health as the winners of its 2025 SleepTech Award, recognizing innovations in consumer wellness and clinical diagnostics.
Onera Health won in the Sleep Disorders and Conditions category for its Onera PSG (pictured), an FDA-cleared, patch-based system for home polysomnography. The technology uses four wireless, patient-applied sensors to capture a 15-channel PSG dataset for sleep diagnostics.
Nanit was the winner in the Sleep Health and Wellness category. Its Nanit Pro Baby Monitor combines real-time HD video with contactless sleep and developmental milestone tracking. The device automatically analyzes a baby’s sleep patterns to deliver science-backed insights.
“This acknowledgment reinforces the importance of increasing access to the gold standard of polysomnography, enabling clinicians to deliver sleep diagnostics to more patients in need,” says Ruben de Francisco, Onera Health founder and CEO, in a release.
“This year’s competition was strong. The winners reflect how the market is rapidly maturing and the public’s options are increasingly sophisticated and simple at the same time,” says John Lopos, National Sleep Foundation CEO, in a release.
Anushka Salinas, Nanit CEO, notes in a release, “Nanit leverages sleep science and research to support infant and, in turn, parent sleep. Every day, our team is driven to deliver this for families because we know that better sleep for babies can lead to healthier outcomes.”
The NSF also acknowledged the award finalists. In the Sleep Health and Wellness category, the finalists were Ambient and Pulsetto. In the Sleep Disorders and Conditions category, the finalists were Appscent Medical Ltd and Percy.
According to the NSF, submissions were evaluated based on the applicants’ descriptions of their products’ features and benefits. The awards were not based on product testing or evaluation conducted by the NSF.
