Sleep HealthCenters LLC, Brighton, Mass, and REM Medical Corp, Seattle, have merged to create one comprehensive sleep medicine company. The union of Sleep HealthCenters, which provides sleep services in New England, and REM Medical, which operates mainly in the Arizona and Washington state markets, provides a bi-coastal presence of accredited, comprehensive centers for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.

“The REM Medical and Sleep HealthCenters merger is the beginning of a focused strategy to provide a national network of high-quality, comprehensive sleep medicine centers,” said Paul Valentine, CEO for Sleep HealthCenters. “Creative clinical programs allow us to provide access to treatment both within our facilities and through strategic relationships. We embrace our role as a market leader and will continue to establish benchmarks for clinical excellence in sleep medicine.”

Both Sleep HealthCenters and REM Medical participate in clinical research with nationally recognized principal investigative teams supporting pharmaceutical and device sponsors on next-generation sleep disorder treatments. The two organizations also bring innovation to the newly merged company through their respective offerings of sleep wellness programs for employers and payors.

“REM Medical is an organization that shares our model of delivering physician-led clinical services for all sleep disorders. They have demonstrated a commitment to the highest levels of medical care in all their centers. We will continue to grow by offering sound clinical practices focused on effective treatments and outcomes,” said Lawrence Epstein, MD, chief medical officer for Sleep HealthCenters.
