The National Sleep Foundation (NSF) is calling for abstracts to be presented at Sleep Health & Safety 2010. The NSF invites professionals and researchers to submit a current, high-quality abstract in the area of sleep health and safety, sleep science, or sleep medicine.

Sleep Health & Safety 2010 will take place March 5-6, 2010, at the Gaylord National Hotel in National Harbor, Md. The deadline for abstract submissions is November 13, 2009. Notification of acceptance or denial for abstracts will be sent to submitters via e-mail by January 15, 2010.

The annual conference provides professional education opportunities and state-of-the-science perspectives on topics related to sleep. Sleep Health & Safety 2010 has dual tracks including:

Track 1 – Sleep topics such as the physiology of sleep, circadian rhythm abnormalities, sleep and comorbid conditions, etc.
Track 2 – Sleep and public health issues such as drowsy driving, sleep disorder epidemiology, individual differences and school performance, etc.

All abstracts must be submitted electronically and must be accompanied by the nonrefundable abstract review fee of $50. Abstracts will be graded blindly on the basis of scientific content, quality of research, and originality by a panel of judges from the NSF.
