Sleep HealthCenters, a network of specialized sleep-medicine facilities, has opened a new center in Worcester, Mass, that is affiliated with the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Group and Chadwick Medical Associates.

“Our commitment to bringing quality sleep medicine to the greatest number of people has brought us to the Worcester area,” said Lawrence Epstein, MD, medical director of Sleep HealthCenters and immediate past president of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. “More and more people are becoming aware that they may have a sleep problem. At our new facility, we will be able to provide the highest level of care and the most comprehensive sleep services while allowing people to stay close to home.”

The new facility serves patients with sleep problems such as insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), narcolepsy, and restless legs syndrome (RLS) among other disorders. Sleep HealthCenters also maintains close contact with a patient’s own referring physician throughout the entire process of evaluation and treatment, providing reports on a regular basis.

“As the leading sleep medicine company in Massachusetts, we are in an excellent position to continue to expand into other areas of the state, as we have now done in Worcester,” said Paul S. Valentine, president and CEO of Sleep HealthCenters. “We feel privileged that this new partnership and facility will allow us to help more people find specialized sleep medicine services in the Worcester area.”
