Shalini Paruthi, MD, an adjunct associate professor in Pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and director of the Pediatric Sleep and Research Center at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, has joined Sleep Review‘s editorial advisory board. Sleep Review‘s editorial advisory board consists of prominent private practitioners and academics who provide the editorial team with insight into the latest trends and controversies in sleep medicine.

Paruthi sees patients of all ages, with a special focus in pediatric sleep disorders. She earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. She completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in sleep medicine and at the University of Michigan.

She previously served as the Education Committee chair of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Paruthi has also been a task force member for the creation of the Outcomes Measures: Quality Metrics in Pediatric Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome. Paruthi also assisted in the creation and maintenance of the updated Sleep Medicine In-Training Fellow Exam. She has chaired a pediatric sleep-focused conference for the AASM.
