In patients with PTSD, comorbid obstructive sleep apnea is linked with worsened symptoms, quality of life, and adherence and response to PAP, reports a study in CHEST.

Among patients with PTSD over half (56.6%) were diagnosed with OSAS. Patients with PTSD+OSAS had lower QoL and more somnolence compared with the other groups. Patients with PTSD demonstrated significantly lower adherence and response to PAP therapy.
