Dr James Sublett, co-founder of Family Allergy & Asthma, told Insider Louisville that the acquisition of the sleep labs made sense because of some patient overlap and because the two companies’ cultures aligned.
Sublett said the acquisition also reflects continued consolidation pressures in the physician market. Together, the companies can better handle electronic medical records and achieve compliance with regulations including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, he said.
In working together, the doctors also realized how much their patient-focused cultures align, Sublett said.
