A team of graduate students in India has launched a startup that turns plastic bottles into sleeping products, reports the Bangalore Mirror.

The team is working towards launching its first set of recycled products, sustainable sleep comfort products like pillows and mattresses which are manufactured using recycled polyester fibre. Plastic bottles are recycled and converted to polyester fibre, which is a fluffy material similar to cotton.

“This fibre is comparable to virgin polyester (newly made petroleum product) and hence we are able to manufacture sustainable sleep comfort products of superior quality and bring them to the market,” he said.
