The new API integration connects NikoHealth’s automation platform with sovaSage’s sleep therapy management tools to reduce manual data entry and improve patient journey visibility.
Key takeaways:
- The API enables bi-directional data exchange between NikoHealth’s HME platform and sovaSage’s sleep and respiratory therapy management tools.
- The integration aims to reduce manual data entry, minimize errors, and ensure data consistency across clinical, operational, and financial systems.
- By connecting the platforms, HME providers gain greater visibility into the full patient journey, from prescription to long-term compliance.
- The HIPAA-compliant integration is designed to support secure and scalable digital workflows for HME providers.
NikoHealth, a cloud-based automation platform for home medical equipment (HME) providers, has announced a strategic API integration with sovaSage Inc, a digital health company focused on sleep and respiratory therapy management.
The integration facilitates secure, bidirectional data exchange between NikoHealth’s workflows—including intake, order management, and billing—and the sovaSage platform, which features tools like sovaFit, sovaGuide, and sovaStart. The companies state that the combined platforms create a more connected and automated experience for HME providers.
Through the integration, patient, device, and operational data flows between the systems, which is intended to reduce manual data entry, minimize errors, and provide consistency across clinical and financial platforms. This connection gives providers more visibility into the patient journey, from initial setup to therapy compliance and payer audit readiness.
“As HME providers continue to modernize their technology stack, interoperability is critical,” says Michael Kutsak, founder and CEO of NikoHealth, in a release. “This integration with sovaSage connects operational automation with patient engagement and therapy management, helping providers reduce friction, improve efficiency, and deliver a better experience for both staff and patients.”
In a release, William Kaigler, co-founder and CEO of sovaSage, adds, “Our integration with NikoHealth helps providers connect the dots between patient care, compliance, and revenue. By eliminating operational gaps, providers can scale more confidently while supporting better therapy outcomes.”
The API integration was developed to be scalable and secure, supporting HIPAA-compliant data exchange for providers expanding their digital workflows.
