The bowling alley in the Pittsburgh suburb of Plum, Pa, will not be the place that Respironics employees meet after work; it will soon be the place they report to for work, according to an article appearing in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. In order to make room for 340 recent hires, the sleep and respiratory product manufacturer is converting the bowling alley into office space where 180 workers will begin working by July, if things go as planned.
According to the article, the renovations will allow for a capacity of 255 workers and will incorporate departments including customer relations, product services, and clinical support personnel.
The company foresees more growth in the future with forecast revenue expectations at approximately $1,175 million to $1,190 million for 2007.
