Humana, a health care company that offers a wide range of insurance products and health and wellness services, is terminating relationships with several home medical equipment providers and entering into a new partnership with Apria Healthcare for its home medical equipment needs, including CPAP/BiPAP equipment, supplies, and other products and services.

Humana is encouraging health care providers to consider referring Humana-covered patients who need CPAP/BiPAP equipment and other supplies to Apria Healthcare. “Humana-covered patients who use Apria for these services and supplies will typically have lower out-of-pocket costs,” information on Humana’s Web site states. “If health care providers have impacted patients, the health care provider may receive a request for prescription information from Apria as part of the transition process.”
