DeVilbiss Healthcare has released its latest addition to the IntelliPAP platform—the IntelliPAP AutoBilevel CPAP System. The system features a minimalist design and small footprint, making travel with the device easy.
“The IntelliPAP AutoBilevel System incorporates the automatic adjusting therapy of the AutoAdjust system and the comfort of the Bilevel to deliver superior therapy at higher prescription pressures,” said Brian Palmer, product director of Sleep Devices for DeVilbiss Healthcare. “The AutoBilevel algorithm enables the device to maintain a lower mean airway pressure than many competitive devices, providing a more comfortable therapy and ultimately better patient compliance.”
The IntelliPAP AutoBilevel includes DeVilbiss Healthcare’s patented Flow Rounding Technology, which softens transitions during IPAP and EPAP. The soft start function slowly increases to the prescribed pressure over a period of 10 seconds, making it easier for patients to acclimate to higher pressures.
The product offers the ability to adjust the IPAP/EPAP delta as well as triggering sensitivity. The capability to operate in CPAP, Bilevel S, or AutoBilevel modes provides a flexible clinical platform. In addition, the Auto On/Off option automatically starts the flow of air after breathing into the mask and stops the flow of air when the mask is removed.
The IntelliPAP AutoBilevel System also includes the SmartCode Remote Adherence Monitoring System. With a phone call to the patient, providers or clinicians can obtain therapy efficacy data including leak percentage and AHI as well as usage data through a 12-digit encrypted code provided by the unit.
In addition, the optional SmartLink Therapy Management System provides an integrated solution for managing CPAP patients and therapy information.
