Royal Philips Electronics has been named an honoree of the International Consumer Electronics Show’s 2009 Innovations Design and Engineering Award for the goLITE BLU light therapy device.
The Innovations Design and Engineering Awards recognize achievements in product design and engineering. Entries are judged based on engineering qualities, aesthetic and design qualities, the product’s intended use, and the unique/novel features that consumers would find attractive.
Philips’ Bluewave technology, integrated in the goLITE BLU, targets specific wavelengths of light to which the body clock responds.
