Human Design Medical, LLC (HDM) has released a firmware upgrade for the Z1 Auto CPAP machine and the Nitelog App for Android devices.

The Z1 Auto Firmware Upgrade delivers a new Z-Breathe algorithm with settings that offer more breathing comfort, improved battery life, and quieter operation for the travel CPAP. The upgrade also enables syncing of its new Nitelog App for Android with the latest Android software version 5.1.1.

The Nitelog app syncs with the Z1 Auto via Bluetooth to display sleep therapy results including apnea/hypopnea index, apnea count, usage hours, and pressure levels in day-week-month presentations. Nitelog can generate compliance reports and the sleep data may be shared with a healthcare provider by text or email. Nitelog is now available for free download at the Google Play Store.

“Our team of ‘Boston’s brightest’ continuously work to improve the Z1 Auto Firmware and have now made the innovative Nitelog app available to Android users,” says Damian deGoa, CEO of Breas Medical and HDM, in a release.

Steve Moore, HDM’s general manager, says, “The Z1 Auto Firmware Upgrade improves upon a terrific Auto CPAP device and we are excited to offer the Nitelog App in both iOS and Android platforms. Now virtually anyone with a smartphone or tablet can follow their sleep and progress in CPAP therapy.”
