Weiner and his staff provide thorough medical marijuana evaluations for eligible Massachusetts residents and will assist approved patients with registering with the Massachusetts Medical Use of Marijuana, according to a release.
With more than 25 years experience in patient care, Weiner focuses on the patient’s chronic or debilitating conditions and accompanying symptoms such as pain, fatigue, nausea, hypersomnia, and insomnia. Weiner is a recognized advocate of medical marijuana, and recently spoke at a Massachusetts State House open forum in support of the use of medical marijuana.
Effective January 2013, all patients diagnosed with cancer, glaucoma, HIV, AIDS, ALS, Hepatitis C, Crohn’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or any other debilitating conditions as determined by a qualifying patient’s physician in writing, qualify for the Massachusetts medical marijuana program. Debilitating conditions include chronic pain lasting longer than 6 months, chronic muscle spasms, cachexia, agitation of Alzheimer’s disease, endometriosis, degenerative arthritis, radiculopathy, painful peripheral neuropathy, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
