The Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) is offering a series of educational grants to provide assistance to RPSGTs who are interested in pursuing the Certification in Clinical Sleep Health (CCSH) through “Pathway 3.” Pathway 3 allows an experienced RPSGT with at least one recertification to complete targeted education to be eligible to sit for the credentialing exam.

These educational grants are intended for RPSGTs who are unable to apply through CCSH Pathway 1 (1,000 hours of experience and a bachelor’s degree) or Pathway 2 (an approved healthcare credential, including RPSGT, or license and an associate’s degree) and/or are unable to financially pursue the CCSH designated education program(s) approved for Pathway 3 of the CCSH Credential.

The deadline for receipt of grant applications is the close of business Friday, May 14, 2021.

Each CCSH Educational Grant will cover the registration cost for an approved in-person conference or the cost to complete online modules for any approved CCSH educational program, such as the AAST CCSH Designated STAR Education Program. Once selected, grant recipients will have up to three months to start the educational modules or register for the conference.

In addition to being an active RPSGT credential holders who has recertified at least once, applicants must hold current BLS/CPR certification for healthcare workers that follow the most recent AHA Guidelines or international equivalent.
