Respironics Inc, Murrysville, Pa, recently presented its newest product innovations for sleep and respiratory care at Medtrade, an international trade show for the home health care industry.

The Respironics M Series Sleep Systems, the company’s newest platform of devices for sleep therapy, were among the products demonstrated. “It gives us great satisfaction to feature the complete M Series line at Medtrade,” said John Miclot, president and CEO of Respironics, “including our newly released BiPAP® Auto M Series, the most advanced device in the series. The market acceptance of the M Series has been very positive since the first device in the new platform was launched in March 2006.”

Respironics also released a new addition to its Comfort Series of masks. The ComfortLite 2 offers more features in a smaller, lighter mask with improved headgear and components. The unique design minimizes facial contact and reduces pressure points for enhanced comfort.

Looking ahead to 2007, Respironics is broadening its focus beyond obstructive sleep apnea and seeking methods to assist the millions of people who suffer from other sleep disorders such as snoring, insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, or restless legs syndrome.
