Astro-Med Inc, West Warwick, RI, has entered into a formal pact with the
Association of Black Cardiologists Inc, (ABC), to jointly promote the
education, diagnosis, and treatment of sleep-related disorders.

Astro-Med’s Grass Technologies develops integrated systems to detect sleep
disorders, including mobile and stationary polysomnographic (PSG) systems
and related software. Astro-Med manufactures, distributes, and services its
sleep diagnostic systems globally.

The ABC has now adopted the early diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders
as part of its "Seven Steps to Good Health" campaign, supporting its mission to
lower the rate of cardiovascular disease in minority populations.

"I believe our membership will be assured of the integrity and accuracy of
sleep-related cardiovascular diagnostics with the use of Grass Technologies®
polysomnographs and related software," said ABC president Gerald DeVaughn,
MD. "ABC is excited to lead the charge in the cardiology community by
placing our organization on the forefront of sleep medicine."
