Cleveland Medical Devices Inc (CleveMed) has been awarded a group purchasing agreement for Sleep Diagnostic Services with Premier Inc. Effective June 1, 2014, the new agreement allows Premier members, at their discretion, to take advantage of special pricing and terms prenegotiated by Premier for CleveMed sleep monitoring products and services, including SleepView Monitor and cloud-based software.

“We are very excited to work with Premier to further expand our offerings nationwide and solidify our leading position in the home sleep testing market. The number of SleepView studies performed by healthcare providers nationwide has more than tripled in 2013 when compared to 2012. The growth is expected to continue over the coming few years because our solutions help healthcare organizations fulfill the three aims crucial for success: improve patient experience with easy-to-use home testing, lower insurance carrier costs, and speed care delivery with web-based diagnosis and care coordination,” says Hani Kayyali, CleveMed president, in a release.

CleveMed offers a number of portable products that cover a spectrum of sleep diagnostic needs: Sapphire PSG is a 22-channel wireless polysomnography system for in-lab testing; SleepScout is a 9-channel wireless system for inpatient assessment of sleep-disordered breathing; and SleepView is a small, light home sleep testing product. SleepView is an 8-channel system for OSA diagnosis in the home that interfaces with www.clevemedsleepview.com, a HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based portal software that can integrate with EMRs via REST API or HL7 messaging.
