DormoVision X combines type I, II, and III capabilities in a wireless, self-applied device.
American-Israeli sleep diagnostics company Dormotech will reveal its DormoVision X type II home sleep test (HST) at SLEEP 2025. This US Food and Drug Administration-cleared wireless home sleep testing device is cleared for children and adults aged 6 years and up.
According to Dormotech, DormoVision X was designed to support type 1 (attended) and type II and III studies, offering versatile capabilities for both in-lab and home testing in a single platform. It’s also future-ready—designed with the proposed HST CPT codes in mind. The company will market it as a “full hPSG” (full home polysomnography).
A validation study comparing DormoVision X against Nox A1 in-lab polysomnography found DormoVision X to have high agreement in classifying AHI, ODI, recording total sleep time, sleep efficiency, and scoring of sleep stages. However, differences in REM latency were noted; the Dormotech device indicated a longer time for participants to enter the first REM phase compared to the Nox A1.
Key Features of the DormoVision X include:
- It records oxygen saturation, heart rate, EEG, EOG, EMG, total airflow, snore volume, respiratory effort, and positioning of both body and head.
- It includes 29 direct channels and 9 derived channels.
- It is wireless and can be self-applied in less than one minute.
- Multi-night, real-time physiological data monitoring.
“As a pediatric sleep specialist, I’ve always looked for more accurate readings for children. DormoVision’s home testing capability has been revolutionary—children sleep in their own beds, and I receive clinical-grade data across all 25 signals. It’s a game changer,” says Asher Tal, MD, professor emeritus of Pediatrics and founder of the Pediatric Pulmonary Unit and Sleep Laboratory at Soroka Medical Center, Ben-Gurion University, in a release.
Dormotech CEO Abed Nassir says in a release, “DormoVision X redefines sleep diagnostics by bringing lab accuracy to patients’ homes, making early detection more accessible and cost-effective than ever. We’re excited to launch at SLEEP 2025, where labs can see how our technology transforms patient care.”
