Dr John Fleetham, a professor of medicine at the University of B.C. and co-founder and director of the Vancouver Acute Sleep Disorder Program, looks forward to an updated and expanded sleep clinic at the university, reports Vancouver Sun.

The UBC sleep clinic began in 1981 with one bed. It eventually expanded to be able to monitor two people and today the capacity is six. That number will increase to nine, when the new digs open by next summer. The new facilities will be homier and less lab-like than the existing clinic.
