Procter & Gamble Co. is expanding the line of Vicks ZzzQuil sleep aids with four new products, including melatonin gummies for children.
The drug-free, non-habit forming products help people fall asleep naturally, according to the Cincinnati-based maker of consumer goods (NYSE:PG). The key ingredient is melatonin, a hormone found in the body that helps regulate sleep.
The Vicks ZzzQuil brand was introduced seven years ago to remedy occasional sleeplessness. Last year, to appeal to people who prefer natural products, P&G launched Vicks ZzzQuil PURE Zzzs Melatonin Gummies as well as Vicks PURE Zzzs Soothing Aromatherapy Balm, which are formulated to allow users to fall asleep naturally and awake the next day without grogginess.
