Dr Michael Nadorff has conducted sleep studies on thousands of Mississippians and, through his research, has concluded that people who have reoccurring nightmares are more likely to die by suicide, reports The Clarion-Ledger.

“Having nightmares significantly increased one’s increase for suicide,” Nadorff said. “Both insomnia and nightmares, the longer you have those, the more strongly it was associated with suicide risk.”
