Experts weigh in on associations between ADHD and sleep, including whether ADHD will ever be considered strictly a sleep problem, reports US News & World Report.

Experts who gathered in September for the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology Congress in Paris examined prior research on the topic, pointing to a strong association between sleep issues and ADHD. If sleeplessness was indeed causing ADHD, the experts addressed the possibility of eventually treating ADHD with nonpharmacological methods to reverse the health problems often caused by lack of sleep.
