“That whole ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ is not there anymore, especially in Atlantic Canada where you see a lot of families that are either military or navy, or one of them works in the oil industry. We have a lot of families that are split in that regard, or they don’t have their grandparents around for help, or their brothers and sisters.”
