A bad mattress showed Bears defensive tackle Ego Ferguson the importance of a good night’s rest, reports the Chicago Tribune.
Staying true to campus life, Ferguson contemplated a Wal-Mart run for some type of mattress topper. But before he went, the second-year pro realized the Bears provide their players during camp with king-sized Tempur-Pedic memory-foam mattresses, and he just hadn’t gotten one.
“Amazing,” Ferguson said 10 days later. “I used to be the one that said all mattresses are the same. But once you get one, it’s a huge difference.”
