Rhythmlink International has completed its new 250-square-foot clean room in Columbia, SC, and the space is now fully functional as an ISO 8 Certified, Class 100,000 clean room. Integral for increased growth and product production, the room also allows for additional research and development, repackaging capabilities, and ability to bring new products to market quicker.

“We’re excited about the possibilities that our new clean room brings to the company. With this certified clean room, we can complete small-run manufacturing within our Columbia facility instead of making our products overseas,” says Shawn Regan, CEO, in a release. “This is the first of many important steps we are taking to bring more of our existing overseas manufacturing to Columbia, which, in turn, will lead to more commercial opportunities for Rhythmlink and job creation in South Carolina.”

The clean room will initially be utilized for research and development, rework, and kitting of products. With further development, Rhythmlink will be able to accommodate rapid prototyping of sterile products, such as stimulating and recording probes, laparoscopic sensors and accessories, EKG and EMG devices, as well as small production lots.
