Nihon Kohden has procured a group purchasing agreement for physiological monitoring with Premier Inc, a healthcare improvement company representing 3,400 US hospitals and 110,000 other providers. Effective March 1, 2015, the new agreement gives Nihon Kohden the ability to sell its physiological monitoring products to Premier members across the continuum of care.

Nihon Kohden has secured several contracts with Premier for its physiological monitoring technology.

“Winning the Premier contract reinforces the strength of Nihon Kohden’s product portfolio and the industry-leading technology we are bringing to the market,” says Wilson Constantine, chief operating officer for Nihon Kohden, in a release. “We have a long history of bringing different thinking for better healthcare, and our physiological monitoring equipment exemplifies our commitment to continually improving and enhancing the way care is achieved in this country.”

Nihon Kohden’s monitoring products include a physiological patient and bedside monitoring system using Smart Modular Cable technology, and Cap-ONE, a CO2 sensor specifically designed for intubated and nonintubated patients.
