Fisher & Paykel (F&P) Healthcare has launched its newest FDA 510(k) cleared nasal CPAP mask, the F&P Nova Nasal, in the United States for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.
The mask is designed to enhance performance and support patient adherence by focusing on three key areas: easy fitting, a stable seal, and quiet operation. It features SwingFit headgear, which allows users to anchor the cushion and secure the mask with a single click. A RollFit cushion and pivoting clips are intended to conform to the patient’s nose and move with them to help prevent leaks.
For noise reduction, the F&P Nova Nasal includes a washable diffuser to minimize sound and draft. The mask also has structured side arms covered in soft AirEdge fabric to provide a stable seal and a clear field of view while helping to prevent marks on the face. An optional tube clip allows patients to position the tube over the head or wear it down.
The launch is supported by results from an internal validation trial of 43 participants in the United States. According to the company, 91% of trial users found the SwingFit headgear intuitive to use, 98% felt they could sleep in their preferred position without leaks, and 100% rated the mask’s noise level as quiet or very quiet.
“With more than 25 years of innovation behind us, we know the mask is key to PAP therapy success. F&P Nova Nasal complements our range of high-performance masks, giving patients options that fit their needs and lifestyle,” says Steve Wilson, F&P VP sales & marketing, North America, in a release.
The F&P Novo Nasal launched in Australia and New Zealand in March 2025.
