The 2008 Cutting Edge of Sleep Conference, to be held December 1-3 at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts in Lake Buena Vista, Fla, offers the opportunity for participants to be exposed to a wide-ranging panel of experts in the world of sleep and to hear about their research.

The conference panel is comprised of leaders in their respective fields covering the major aspects of sleep. Allan Hobson, MD, will be giving the keynote address, speaking on the state and functions of sleep and dreaming. Hobson intends to discuss the benefits of sleep, examining temperature regulation, energy management, and information organization, in addition to the manifestation of waking consciousness.

The conference will present an overview of the information that sleep clinicians and physicians need to know to close the gap between their present knowledge base and the most up-to-date evidence-based information accumulated by medical science with respect to the pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, and management of a broad spectrum of sleep disorders.

Online registration is now available through the Web site dedicated to the conference.
