Researchers have discovered that treating sleep apnea may improve depression.

The scientists report that using a continuous positive airway pressure device can improve depression. This is important because it points to sleep apnea and other sleep disorders as possible, medical, causes for depression in many patients.

Researchers say that patients who are feeling depressed should consider a sleep test to see if a sleep disorder may be causing or exacerbating their condition.
