At CES 2024, personal health technology startup RingConn, maker of a smart ring health tracker, shared its latest progress in the development of new features, including obstructive sleep apnea monitoring and menstrual cycle tracking.

These two premium features are designed for users with specific needs and are expected to launch for beta testing in Q1 and Q2 of 2024.

RingConn tracks sleep, providing a holistic analysis that factors in users’ various sleep periods throughout the day. This includes a comprehensive Sleep Quality Score and factor breakdown. It also records critical health data such as heart rate, oxygen saturation, heart rate variability, and skin temperature, among others.

Currently, RingConn has submitted for US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for the ring’s pulse oximeter and sleep apnea monitoring feature. RingConn expects to receive these two FDA clearances by the end of this year, according to a release from the company.

Looking ahead, RingConn, established in 2021, aims to provide refined solutions to health management through constant hardware and software updates.

“The warm support and acclaim we received at CES 2024 are undoubtedly a confidence booster for the team,” said Dr Tony Wu, co-founder of RingConn. “At RingConn, we are not merely providing solutions for personal health management; we are creating the means for users to proactively improve their well-being.”
