The free and paid versions of the AIOMEGA app integrate data from consumer devices, add patented sleep algorithms, and enable physicians and dentists to monitor a wide range of biometric and cardiopulmonary measures.

Sleep physician Raghu Ghuge, MD, has developed the AIOMEGA app to unify health and fitness tracking across multiple devices while strengthening the bond between providers and patients.

The platform integrates data from Apple Watch, Samsung Watch, Oura Ring, Whoop, Garmin, Peloton, Apple Health Kit, Google Fit Kit, and other biometric sensors. It uses patented sleep algorithms alongside tools for body composition, nutrition, exercise, and cardiopulmonary data collection. Proprietary widgets enable direct communication between patients and physicians.

“The app was a vehicle to get everything related to health and fitness in one app and build a strong bond between the physician/dentist/fitness coach and the patient/athlete,” says Ghuge, who is the president and CEO of the Sleep Medicine Institute of Texas and founder of oral appliance company AIOMEGA LLC.

Clinical Applications of the App

Within physician practices, the AIOMEGA app supports remote patient monitoring of parameters such as sleep, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen, glucose, and weight. It also aids in weight loss program management, including tracking the effects of GLP-1 drugs on metrics like intake and blood pressure. The app can evaluate how CPAP devices influence sleep stages and efficiency, as well as disruptions such as nocturnal bathroom trips. Oral appliance therapy can be monitored in the same way. Patients may register their sleep devices directly within the app.

Dentists can use the patented AIO Prescription tool, which helps create custom oral appliance prescriptions for the AIOMEGA line of devices. Its AIO-P-AI predictive algorithm can be validated through follow-up sleep studies. The platform also manages device orders and digital scans, with progress monitoring available to both dentists and physicians.

Ghuge recommends it to individuals with a range of sleep disorders, including insomnia, REM behavior disorder, and restless legs syndrome.  “Data from our AIOMEGA app has led to diagnosis of pacemaker failure, sleep-related hypertension, sleep-related cardiac arrhythmia, etc,” he says.

Free vs Paid Versions

Both free and paid versions allow providers to monitor biometric data, nutrition, hydration, sleep, and weight management.

The free version excludes certain functions such as blood pressure and respiratory monitoring.

The paid version, priced at $9.99 per month, adds capabilities like blood pressure and oxygen saturation monitoring.
