The new Houston Methodist Sleep Center at Willowbrook and expanded Houston Methodist Infusion Center at Willowbrook are now open. Recently, Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital executives and staff toured the new centers during an open house celebration.
“These centers have been designed with the patient in mind—prioritizing privacy and comfort—providing a space for our experts to do what they do best,” says Keith Barber, CEO, Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital & senior vice president, Houston Methodist, in a release. “While two separate services, they have something very important in common—providing a much needed service in an environment built on support, trust, and professionalism.”
The new state-of-the-art centers are both located in the Women’s & Children’s Pavilion at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and offer unique high quality programs.
The Houston Methodist Sleep Center at Willowbrook provides daytime, nighttime, and home sleep testing. Studies are available for adults and services will be expanded to pediatric patients.
“What really sets us apart from other centers is the hotel-like feel that we’ve created to make our clients as comfortable as possible,” says Kelly Phelps, lead sleep technologist, Houston Methodist Sleep Center at Willowbrook.
Led by board certified sleep medicine specialists, the team of experts will diagnose underlying conditions that cause disruption in sleep, including chronic insomnia, narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, and more.
