Accreditation Commission for Health Care Inc (ACHC) has broken ground on an addition to its headquarters located in North Carolina’s Research Triangle.

The expansion project is designed to triple the size of the current building and will accommodate over 300 employees when the addition is completed in late 2024.

“ACHC has experienced tremendous growth over the past five years,” says Jose Domingos, president and CEO of the company, in a release. “This growth has afforded us the opportunity to expand our workforce to better serve the range of organizations we educate and accredit and to support the healthcare professionals who depend on ACHC for guidance on quality improvement.”

The new building will enhance cross-departmental collaboration and promote efficiency for ACHC’s office-based employees by providing technology enhancements, energy efficiency, and improved amenities. ACHC also plans to use the expansion to deliver new education programs, featuring space both for dedicated ACHCU facilities and also a compounding pharmacy cleanroom.

ACHC has retained Legacy Real Property Group of Chapel Hill, N.C., to manage the property development. HagerSmith Design and Clancy & Theys Construction Company, both of Raleigh, N.C., will oversee architecture and interior design work and building and parking deck construction, respectively.

“The ACHC Board of Commissioners and staff leadership look forward to providing our teams and our guests with an inspiring environment that supports continued delivery of the best possible accreditation experience for the healthcare organizations we serve,” says Domingos in the release.
