DeVilbiss Healthcare has added a new extended warranty plan for its line of IntelliPAP CPAP systems. The extended warranty plan lengthens DeVilbiss Healthcare’s 3-year warranty for an additional 2 years and is available directly from CPAP medical equipment providers. IntelliPAP owners have the option to purchase the 2-year extended warranty for a nominal fee at the time of product purchase or up to 180 days from the provider’s point of purchase from DeVilbiss Healthcare.

“Most insurance companies will pay for a replacement CPAP only every five years,” said Brian Palmer, product marketing director of sleep devices for DeVilbiss Healthcare. “And because of the exceptional reliability of the entire IntelliPAP line, we expect the product to be with providers and their patients for a long time. For that reason, we are proud to offer DeVilbiss Healthcare’s affordable extended warranty plan to provide coverage against unexpected maintenance after the factory warranty expires to protect our customers and patients.”

The extended warranty covers repair or replacement of the entire IntelliPAP unit. Labor costs associated with the repair or replacement of the IntelliPAP are also covered under the extended warranty plan. The parameters of the extended warranty are virtually the same as those provided under the standard 3-year warranty today. The heated humidifier will continue to be covered under the standard 3-year warranty only.
