Summary: Nox Medical will debut an upgraded Nox Connect platform at SLEEP 2025, integrating FDA-cleared AI tools, browser-based scoring, and a new home sleep testing service into a unified cloud system that supports both in-lab and remote diagnostics.
Key Takeaways:
- The enhanced Nox Connect platform integrates FDA-cleared tools like BodySleep, ventilatory burden, hypoxic burden, and OSA endotyping to support personalized care.
- A new Nox Home Sleep Testing Service allows providers to order tests and receive AI-scored results without managing in-house devices.
- Nox uses calibrated RIP to capture real respiratory data, improving diagnostic accuracy across care settings.
Nox Medical will be unveiling an even more seamless sleep diagnostics platform at SLEEP 2025. The company has enhanced its cloud-based Nox Connect platform to now combine artificial intelligence (AI), web-based scoring and interpretation, and a brand new home sleep testing service.
“Nox Connect is now the backbone of our diagnostic portfolio,” says Hulda Hallgrimsdottir, COO at Nox Medical, in a release. “It unifies secure data management and AI-assisted scoring and interpretation into a unified platform—simplifying workflows across in-lab and home testing, and enabling clinicians to interpret studies with clarity and efficiency from anywhere”.
Nox Connect enables sleep labs and health systems to manage diagnostics, testing logistics, and scoring workflows from anywhere. At the heart of the platform is a range of US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared AI tools that support clinical decision-making, including BodySleep (part of Nox’s FDA-cleared software DeepResp), obstructive sleep apnea endotyping, hypoxic burden, and ventilatory burden as part of Noxturnal Web (which has a separate FDA clearance).
“For nearly two decades, Nox has been at the forefront of diagnostic innovation—delivering technology recognized for its accuracy, precision, and patient-friendly design,” says Sveinbjörn Höskuldsson, founder and chief technology officer at Nox Medical, in a release. With the launch of Nox Connect, that legacy continues—now extended to the cloud with intelligent tools like Nox BodySleep, which give clinicians greater clarity in interpreting home sleep tests by capturing arousals and sleep staging through respiratory signals. These insights support more conclusive interpretations often missed by proxy-based HSATs.
“Unlike proxy-based systems that rely on indirect signals, Nox devices are built on calibrated RIP—Nox Flow, delivering real, quantifiable airflow and effort data for every patient, in every setting. This foundational technology supports diagnostic accuracy across a broad spectrum of patients and care environments.”
The company also launches Nox Home Sleep Testing Service—an end-to-end solution built on the Nox T3 HSAT device and enhanced by Nox BodySleep. Integrated with Nox Connect, the service allows providers to easily order tests, manage logistics, and receive AI-scored results directly in the cloud..
“Every patient deserves an accurate sleep diagnosis—regardless of where the test takes place,” says Heidi Riney, MD, chief medical officer, in a release. “Nox delivers on that promise with real respiratory flow measurement, validated AI insights, and scalable cloud access tailored to modern clinical and operational needs.
What’s New in Nox Connect:
- AI Scoring & Insights: Access FDA-cleared tools like Nox BodySleep, Ventilatory Burden, Hypoxic Burden, and OSA Endotyping—available in the cloud to support diagnostic clarity and personalized care.
- Nox BodySleep: Unlocks conclusive home sleep testing by detecting sleep stages and arousals directly from respiratory signals.
- Ventilatory Burden and Hypoxic Burden: Provide advanced insights into patient risk and disease severity beyond AHI.
- OSA Endotyping: Supports personalized therapy decisions by identifying physiological drivers of sleep-disordered breathing.
- Web-Based Scoring: Score and review studies directly in the browser for seamless collaboration and remote workflows.
- Home Sleep Testing Service: Cloud-based HSAT logistics with test ordering, kit delivery, Nox AI scoring, and data handover managed through Nox Connect—no in-house devices required.
