Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has proclaimed June 4-10, 2017, will be “Healthy Sleep Awareness Week,” in recognition of the 50-70 million Americans who suffer from a sleep disease and millions more who experience excessive daytime sleepiness.
In conjunction with Governor Baker’s proclamation, SLEEP 2017 will take place next week in Boston, with sleep medicine physicians, sleep researchers and allied sleep professionals from around the world gathering for the 31st Annual Meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies LLC (APSS), which is a joint venture of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and the Sleep Research Society (SRS).

SLEEP provides evidence-based education to advance the science and clinical practice of sleep medicine, disseminates cutting-edge sleep and circadian research, promotes the translation of basic science into clinical practice and fosters the future of the field by providing career development opportunities at all levels.
