Insights from Ring AIR will enable SleepEngine to make real-time changes to sleep patterns, allowing users to experience the benefits of personalized sleep
Summary: A sleep research and technology company is partnering with the creators of a sleep and activity tracker to integrate their Ring AIR tracker with SleepEngine technology, an audio solution for enhanced sleep quality. This collaboration aims to use real-time insights from the Ring AIR to adjust SleepEngine’s psychoacoustic sounds, enhancing sleep quality and recovery. By leveraging closed-loop biofeedback, the combined technology will personalize sleep patterns, helping users achieve healthier sleep. Developed over 10 years, SleepEngine retrains the brain to restore natural sleep cycles, promoting overall well-being.
Key Takeaways:
- The partnership integrates Ring AIR sleep tracker with SleepEngine technology to make real-time adjustments to sleep patterns, enhancing sleep quality and recovery.
- SleepEngine uses psychoacoustic sounds to guide users through natural sleep cycles, and when combined with Ring AIR, it offers personalized sleep improvements based on real-time data.
- Developed over 10 years, SleepEngine technology retrains the brain to restore natural sleep patterns, promoting mental, physical, and cognitive well-being through closed-loop biofeedback.
Sleep research and technology company Cambridge Sleep Sciences is partnering with Ultrahuman, creators of the Ring AIR sleep and activity tracker, to use the Ring AIR in sync with its SleepEngine technology, an audio solution created for enhanced sleep quality and recovery.
Insights from Ring AIR will enable SleepEngine to make real-time changes to sleep patterns, allowing users to experience the benefits of personalized sleep.
Advanced Sleep Technology
SleepEngine technology comprises psychoacoustic sounds with sinusoidal waveforms. When one of the sleep programs is played in stereo through high-quality speakers, headphones, or earbuds, the low-frequency tones guide the user into sleep. The user follows natural sleep cycles until the sleep program ends, and the user wakes up at the right time in the sleep cycle, feeling refreshed and energized.
Cambridge Sleep Sciences and Ultrahuman will leverage their expertise to explore and design closed-loop biofeedback to deliver sleep quality. The SleepEngine technology will take real-time sleep stage insights and alter soundwaves to reflect the sleep stages and cycles required for an improved, healthier sleep experience.
Decade-Long Development
SleepEngine technology has been developed and refined over more than 10 years by a team of researchers, scientists, sound and medical experts. The result is a unique audio solution that helps to retrain the brain to restore healthy natural sleep patterns, a key component for mental, physical, and cognitive well-being.
“Using the exclusive SleepEngine neuroscience and sound technology paired with advanced sleep analytics from the Ultrahuman Ring AIR, users will ultimately have a feedback loop on how soundwaves can influence brain activity and improve their sleep. Moreover, users will be able to realize the benefit of combining both technologies, in real-time, while they sleep,” says Julian Stone, CEO of Cambridge Sleep Sciences, in a release.
Speaking on the partnership, Mohit Kumar, founder and CEO of Ultrahuman, says in a release, “We are excited to partner with Cambridge Sleep Sciences. Using the combination of SleepEngine and Ring AIR, users can now access real-time changes to sleep patterns. This is a powerful tool in sleep optimization. The power of continuous biomarker tracking is enhanced when there are real-time interventions such as the combination of insights from the Ring AIR and real-time sleep optimizations through the SleepEngine.”
